'While waiting for her crew to rescue her after a mission goes bad, a badly wounded Shepard receives help from the last person she expected to see.'

Where to start. I upgraded Kaidan's armor. Since he was using the ME1 Onyx armor on Horizon, I figured he should get the state of the art version of it like Shepard did.
I did want to use his Horizon colour scheme and funky lights, so I applied them. Really though, the man needed an armor upgrade!

This piece consumed the majority of my time this week. It's been in my head for months now, the idea that Kaidan rescues a wounded Shepard. (Something I would love to see in a DLC.)
A nice start for a reunion after Horizon. We spoke about this in the KAAS thread ages ago I think.

Anyway, this was insane to do. I wanted a dark and gritty piece so to speak. I picked the moment after he comes to her rescue, after the fighting. Mainly to portray Kaidan as a medic (which he was in ME1 for me).
This is what I came up with.

The omni-tool was something I knew I wanted to do, with the medical hologram, skeletal thingie. Now wanting to do something and actually sitting down to create it are two different things, but after hours and hours I was thrilled to see it on my screen So much fun to add the details to it (displaying Shepard's broken arm for example), but so time consuming.

I wanted Shepard to be barely concious, a bit of a ragdoll I think the word is (excuse my English lol). Kaidan holds her close, without his support she would collapse. And that was the general image I had in my head.

That's it really, I'm just thrilled to finally get the image out of my head and on to my screen after all this time.
Have to clean up the creative space in my brain, you know, or I'll go mental
